Former student wins in state competition

Monte Ashqar, a graduate of Texas State University and a former San Antonio College journalism student, was on a team to win first place for an investigative story in Texas Associated Press Broadcasters competition.

It was for Monte's undercover role in the story when he wore a button camera and met with a crook accountant
